Pink, Three Ways

If given the challenge of incorporating pink into every table I styled, I’d accept in an instant!  It’s one of the most versatile colors and one I turn to time and time again.  The most versatile of them all?  Pale blush.  It can pop on its own or blend effortlessly into the background.  It blends well with every warm hue on the color wheel and is the perfect complement to cool tones.  Here are three ways I styled the same pink border plates. Go ahead and choose your favorite!

Pink and Red

Pink and red is one of my favorite color combinations.  This time instead of bringing in red with linens or glassware, I decided on a more subtle color introduction using sweet treats!  Using a heart cookie cutter, I formed sprinkles on the plates and was thrilled when they stayed in place once the cutters were removed!  But the real showstopper is the charcuterie!  Charcuterie boards are double duty- they’re delicious but also instant table décor.  Choose treats that complement your color scheme, and the possibilities are endless!

Pink and Sage

Popular in home décor and weddings alike, pink and sage green is a stunning combination.  Its ethereal qualities make it equally romantic, feminine, and calming.  With these gorgeous colors being found in nature, I like to keep the table décor simple and organic feeling.  Little details like the raw edge of these World Market napkins and the modern wine goblets coordinate beautifully.  Finding complementing flowers is a breeze with options like seeded eucalyptus and hydrangeas.  Nothing is more fitting than beautiful blooms for a spring table!  And when in doubt, bring the outdoors in!

All That Sparkles

Pink, pink, and more pink!  When sticking to one color for a table, it is so important to mix up the materials.  Using different textures gives interest and keeps things feeling fresh.  Textures like the sequin napkins mixed with metallic pink mercury glass are such a striking contrast to the smooth tableware.  Even when using several colors in your design, never underestimate the importance of using different textures.  It’s what takes a table from beautiful to fabulous!
