Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say, on a nice Hawaiian Christmas Day! In an attempt to find more joy this year, we decorated super early for the holidays. As we got closer and closer to Christmas I was feeling the need to change things up a bit. Here’s how I did it!

Do What You Love
When deciding on a theme for a tablescape or party, choose something you love. Your passion will show through! One of our most amazing family trips growing up was to Hawaii. It was perfect, and I think about it all the time. And that is how our Mele Kalikimaka Christmas came to be! It came together so easily, and every time I look at it all I smile.
Use What You Have
My gold pineapples are one of my favorite collections. I’ve found them all over but most came from Home Goods. I move them from room to room in our home but always have them displayed. Dressed up with some simple satin ribbon from Michael’s they’re transformed into the most perfect holiday décor. I love the bows so much I just may keep them on indefinitely!

Mix It Up!
Mixing and matching tableware is always a great way to add dimension to a table. Mixing up linens has the same effect. I used a few different shades of pink, red, and green napkins but all in the same gorgeous satin fabric. The result is a bright, cheery, and festive table that feels even more personal and custom. Efavormart has the best color selection of anywhere I’ve found for simple linens.

Signature Drink
I love serving a cocktail that coordinates with my table décor and theme. For this setup I served pineapple mimosas that taste (and look) like Hawaii in a glass! Better yet, when using these gorgeous clear flutes, the color of the drink shines through perfectly! I love the pop of yellow they add to the décor.

Year-Round Fun
My favorite part of this tablescape is that once I remove the little bottle brush trees it’s appropriate year-round. That’s just one more perk of using what you have and what you love!
